10/8 FTB Unleashed - new items & recipes
Still v1.1.3 of the modpack but it said newer version and is reloading it all. 135 megs again.
Ahh, technology. New stuff spotted:
- Ink - / I I I / - Stk - = Blacksmithing hammer
Blacksmithing hammer over 3 iron -> 64 iron rings (IR).

Wd IR Wd = Barrel. Can hold various liquids, not sure how much.
[COKE OVEN] Cactus -> Cactus charcoal (1k EU at 10 EU/t) + 0.03 creosote oil
[COKE OVEN] Cactus charcoal -> Cactus coke (2k EU at 10 EU/t) + 0.03 creosote oil
[COKE OVEN] Sugar -> Sugar charcoal (1k EU at 10 EU/t) + 0.03 creosote oil
[COKE OVEN] Sugar charcoal -> Sugar coke (2k EU at 10 EU/t) + 0.03 creosote oil
From DartCraft mod (never heard of it before, but sounds interesting):
Force gems (FG) & Force logs (FL)
FG I / I - (Iron or bronze) = 2 Force Ingots (F+)
FG Au / Au - (Au or Ag or RI) = 3 F+
FL/FL = 8 force sticks (F|)
Craft force tools using F+ and F| like normal items.
Plus force gear, force engine, force wrench, force mitts.
And ICW ICW ICW / F+ RS F+ / ICW ICW ICW = 2 EC.
And logistics pipes - have to figure those out someday!
New liquids:
[SQUEEZER] Wood -> 0.05 Sap + 50% wood pulp
[STILL] 1.0 resin -> 0.6 turpentine
[BIOGAS ENGINE] Sap = 2.0 MJ/t for 10,000 t
[BIOGAS ENGINE] Resin = 3.0 MJ/t for 10,000 t
[GENERATOR] Sap = 12.5k EU at 10 EU/t
Other woods produce Resin instead.
Ghostwood, bloodwood, fusewood and quartz weapons/tools. Those woods are all from Natura mod's nether update, from what I can tell.
Raw imphide -> cooked imphide.
Imp leather -> armor (resist the heat of the Nether)
Pages of bees, trees, pollen types. Oy, a whole page of butteflies?? And a lepidopterist database? Forestry gone wild.
Go exploring. Kinda dull and barren world, plenty of giant trees and a jungle, but I miss all the ruins and mysterious structures of Hexxit. Oh well, found a massive chasm thru jungle at -98, 309. And a spot to build a towm I suppose. But I've gone about 300 in every direction and see no villages or anything but hills and trees and cliffs. Possible town site among seaside cliffs at -350, + 17.
Bleah, lots of trees and caves, no ruins or buildings. Argh, no Treecapitator, so harvesting wood is very tedious again. The top of this hill is actually a pretty good spot for a town, a touch of Macchu Picchu with a view out over the ocean.
Odd stuff in that totem chest ... I don't know what mod these are from, but here are some weird new recipes:
4 Al -> Empty Canister
Jeweled Apple + Necrotic Bone / Empty Canister + Miniature Red Heart = Heart Canister (permanent health increase)
Division Sigil (inactive) "You must perform an Activation Ritual to activate it."
Okay I ran a road up and over the hilltop and built one fort and one temple-like structure. Kinda brain dead,
