10/20 FTB Unleashed twilight romp
I recorded a long raid on the Twilight Forest hollow hill. I started off fairly defensively, and probably helped depopulate the place. After a while I was just running around, fighting, grabbing ore. I saw no fixed spawners inside, so the code has definitely changed. Finally found one chest, didn't noticed that I grabbed an Uncrafting Table from it until I got home.
Cool!
After midnight: I decided to also wall off the north cliff. This was a bit harder, more irregular and higher up, AND as I went to build a ladder up (from inside the pool cave), I had to go up and over the massive chasm. I installed glass floor over the scariest part. Made it to top, fought a bunch of mobs and walled off a big section. Then on the way down I dug out some little storerooms with my silk touch pick, to get stone for later use -- the pick repairs itself so good. Then I ran a path along the edge of the chasm to reach my bridge across and in the dark I could just make out a creeper on the other wall, standing there against a big chunk of cobble. Which means ... there was a creeper dungeon there all this time, right at the edge of the chasm, and that's why they kept dropping down on me below. This looked like a fun romp so I recorded it as I went across the chasm, dug down and fought the room full of mobs. First I pissed off an ender tot of course, for extra challenge.
There were about 8 guys in the room, skeletons shooting me and creeper ready to blow. So I lured a creeper close, and his explosion wiped out that whole first wave. After that it was quick work of dropping in, clobbering the spawning and looting the chests. Ended tot came in all squeaking and hitting me, but I was in a little 2-block-high pit when momma showed up and tried kicking me in the face -- no problem, chop chop, free ender pearl. I also grabbed all the mossy cobble and replaced it with normal cobble, because 9 mossy cobble = moss crystals, which are used by Tinker's Construct to add self-repair to any weapon or tool. I scored 55 mossy blocks, enough for 6 tools Good find. Funny short video escapade.
I finished editing and outputting Axum episode 4-6, but it's too late tonight to post em.
