After Defiance and Warehouse 13. Harvest IC2 crops. Run batch of seeds to Forestry lab, plus 2 stacks of spruce logs in carpenter with seed oil, made 8 impregnated casings. Stacks of saplings in Fermenter for biomass, use wheat + dirt for 36 more compost; should last a while. Biomass tank at 672 of 720, almost full. Maybe build my biomass -> biofuel -> bioelectric engines -> MFSU backup power system soon. I have this weird urge to play with tesseracts -- I'd like to be able to send some of this power or fuel to various outposts. But yeah, it's easier to just generate all power here and bring some lapotrons with me when I travel, assuming ANY processing gets done at outposts.
23:43 - Ran out to oil well, got 43 cans, add 64 empty cans & 8 coal coke. Then (duh!) fell into the marble chasm as was whomped on by 2 skels and an angry zombie. Barely got out with 2 hearts left as night fell. Ran across to glacier hut. Middle of night, ran up to my glacier cave, a skeleton followed me and made a pincushion of me, but I hacked him and dove in bed. 23:51 - back to oil well in morning, grabbed 64 cans, added 64 empties; ran home across desert. MF Farm: had about 12 adult cows on adult side. I wanted to keep 4 adults over there, set the Chronotyper to pull a few adults, and it pulled them all ... and they were all harvested. I managed to get one sad cow to stay on his side, but now I need to net another one to continue ranching them. More of pain than they're worth. And it turns out the MF industrial fertilizer will only run in the MF Fertilizer machine, so the sewage system was also a waste. Still, I like to try all the new mods and gadgets.
Railcraft MFE at just 68 EU. Something drained it dry. I haven't done any serious activity in the ore lab, so I wonder if its power goes upstream when needed? AESU at 95M. 50 coal coke done. MF Farm: Looking down from roof I saw one cow survived on the grinder side. I grabbed some wheat, busted a fence, went inside and drew him back to the adult side and sealed him in. Okay, two breeding adults. that was a super convenient time for the gen to run out of oil! Add 12 oil.
00:05 - Town oil tank at 479 of 720B. Recent pummeling reminded me I never finished remaking my nano armor, so made the bodyarmor just now, charged all my gear.
00:11 - Haven't played with my mob grinder in a while. Setup to run magma cubes, and there was one zombie that spawned naturally in the grinder room; chest has 5 gold nuggets, 28 flesh, 5 magma cubes, 10 arrows, 10 string, 15 gunpowder, 13 bones, 11 brains, 28 ender pearls, 13 spider eyes. Grab some and put in barrels.
00:26 - Hopped out to distant Auckland village, checked oil well, grabbed 37 oil cans and added 64 empties, made a note of the well's coordinates. Made a scoop and ran around the grasslands and found two beehives. Meadows drone+princess, Marbled princess. Slept off the night, then went to tunnel below house and did a short spur to take me to the oil well without having to run across the field. Got 64 more cans, put 59 empties in the transposer.

Setup an apiary out by twilight house, in Lush Redwoods biome - marbled queen and meadows queen both say hostile enviro. Run back for more to bees lab. (Grr.) Multifarm had 105 spruce logs, 18 oak wood, 7 apples. Town oil tank at 580b. Run back, okay, Marshy Queen is happy out there - I remembered to put a few mushrooms down (thanks for the tip Iceman).

Centrigufe, smelt and extract for a total of ... 23 plantballs, 5 compressedPlants, 8 carbon cells, 4 CH4 cells, 44 rubber mat, 100 rubber. Oops, first few resin I forgot should go back in centrifuge for best output. Meanwhile, 64 UU done. Throw 46 rubber leaves in recycler (they still can't be made into plantballs or anything else). AESU at 100M.
01:18 - Moved rolling machine, formerly for making mixed-metals, up to roof next to Implosion Compressor, will add the IridiumAlloy recipe to it for making Iridium Plates. Wow, there were a lot of ingots in the chest that I was going to make mixed metal out of: 64 El, 41 Brz, 24 Zn, 13 Al. Start throwing that into the Bending unit. Put 8 Laz: and 8 Glow: into Assembling machine for "Advanced Circuit Parts", on the upside the 40 seconds per unit (I timed it to be sure) does seem to fly while working on other projects. check a few recipes. For fun, time how long it takes NEI to find all uses for Tungsten Plate ... 80 seconds! Ouch.
Assembling: 16 AdvCircuitParts (ACP) done; run 7 Al# and 14 El# for 14 BasicCircuitBoards (BCB); 5 BCB + 15 ins.CuWire (ICW) for 5 ElectronicCircuits (EC). Okay, 80 seconds each IS a bore. Don't forget I can dump ICW, RI and RS into the chest next to the Fabricator and get these in about 2 seconds flat, but that recipe sure does chew through the copper wire. Next test: 4 Si# + 16 El# for 8 AdvancedCircuitBoard (ACB) (80 seconds but it makes 2 items instead of 1), then those 8 ACB plus those 16 ACP for 8 AdvancedCircuits. One plus is that you can load the next recipe while the last of the previous recipe is still running. Funny how silicon plate used to be this super high-level item that was so hard to get (need the Industrial Electrolyzer AND multiblock Industrial Blast Furnace), now it's so commonplace, from sand or other common materials, Silicon cells as byproducts of other reactions, then just blast it and it's done.
02:05 - ha ha, I forgot about my mob grinder, the room was packed to the rafters with bouncy magma cubes. Add some more fuel to grinders, population does down in a hurry. Topside mob essence tank is full, backflowing into the grinders. Will need bigger tank here. 3x64+7 magma cream in chest. Take 64, put rest in the barrels. Toss in centrifuge, 59 UU done, AESU at 97M. Done for night.

22:30 - Pikc up where I left off last night. IndCent had 64 blaze powder and 64 slimes, cook 32 slimes into resin, put those back in IndCent (last 4 resin went in Extractor), for a total of 110 rubber, 7 plantballs, 7 comprPlants. All from grinding a room full of bouncy happy magma cubes. Not to mention the stack of magma cream, 64 blaze powder and 32 slimes not processed. All told, a spawner/grinder of slimes is way more productive than about a dozen rubber trees.
23:34 - Ran out to my Thaum Treehouse. Wow, those autumn trees I planted near the base grew into some giant trees almost totally conceling my cubby-hole entrance. Getting the hang of the Research, learned Thaumium, Tin Transformation and the Magical Building Blocks. I started a recipe section on what aspects items are made out of, and which aspects ultimately went into each step of research, since so much time is spent clicking and losing items trying to guess what might be useful to the next bit of knowledge.
23:42 - Learned Magic tallow (corpus + ignis) and Thaumometer (Cognito, Praecantatio, Machina). Interesting, the Thaumonomicon says that you can make colored candles by adding dyes to magic candles. 00:28 - Learned the Thaumium scoop, ran to town to drop of some goodies in the guy's mailboxes. Also needed some bees and spider eyes for that last research. Back to town, my marshy bees made their first comb, plus 2 extra drones so far. Multifarm had 5x64+51 spruce wood + 18 oak + 6 apples, 60 sand; overflowing with spruce saplings again - take out almost 3 stacks (left some up at thaum research table, others going to biomass now.
00:37 - IC2 lab, change of pace, start on my Quantum armor. 16 Ir into compressor for Ir ingots, grab 16 advAlloy, 4 diamond dust. Take to rooftop rolling machine, check iTNT supply in the ImplosionCompressor right next to it - 31 iTNT, one short of imploding 4 iridium plates. Figures. Basement automat, toss in new load of saltpeter and sulfur, soon have 15 more iTNT. 3 Ir plate done, plus one in chest (4th one is left on rolling machine as a blueprint). Grab my 2 filled lap crystals, let's see what I can make here. Quantum suit helmet is my nano helmet + reinf.glass + 2 Ir plate + 2 AC + lapotron xtal. Done. 2 sets of rubber boots (each is 6 rubber and a wool, easy), then quantum boots are nano boots + 2 rubber boots + Ir plate + lapotron. Done. Looks like I need 6 Ir plate to complete the whole set, plus two more lapotrons. Now I need diamond dust and mixed metal for adv.alloy.
I actually like the newly fudged recipes for mixed metals ... in plain IC2 it was just 3 RI over 3 bronze over 3 tin ingots (I think), then GregTech gave lots of alternates but dumped it all on the Rolling Machine. Now there are lots of choices with different amount of output, using metal plates (bummer), but they're back on a regular crafting table (yay). Check my notes ... Steel over bronze over Al plates gives 3 MxM each, pretty good. I had 11 Al#, grabbed 11 Brz#, bent 11 steel and poof, 33 ingots in the compressor. Well done, will be a snap to automate again. Toss 6 steel and 16 bronze into bender, brief wait, then add 42 Al and take a walk.
Mining run under town, down to leel 6-12 and go out a ways. Ores: 11 Al, 2 Fer, 4 Mzt, 8 Ag, 4 RS, 13 ruby, 3 Cu, 2 U, 2 cinnabar, 15 nik. NO diamonds, but pulv my stockpile of 42 Nikolite ore ... maybe some bonus diamond dust (yes, 3 of them), and heck the nik can be used as scrap to make UU (as amplifier in mass fab, 1 nik = i scrap), or thrown into Thaumcraft crucible for magic goodies (it has 2 potentia, 2 machina each), for now I have 25 staks of Nik in a barrel in basement. Then pulv 24 ruby ore for Chrome (3 bonus red garnet dust). 01:33 - back to IC2 lab, heap of advAlloy done, up to roof for Implosion fun. Quick hop to railcraft roof for coal coke (48 done, MFE at 0). 2 Ir plate smashed. Run to basement automat - 45 iTNT done. Up to roof, 3rd Ir plate pounded out. Get 3 diamond dust from house. Finally, 6 Ir plate ready. 10 Al: and 5 Cr: done from Ruby dust.
Finish my quantum armor: Grab 2 rubies, plus RS -> 2 energy xtals, surround with 6 Lazurite dust and 2 EC -> 2 lapotrons. Quantum chestplate = nano chestplate + 4 Ir plates + Lap + 3 AA. Done. Quantum leggings = nano leggings + 2 GD + 2 Ir plate + 2 machine blocks. Done. Woo hoo! Charge em up - wow, they charge to a million in about 10 seconds on AESU.
That's a good achievement for the night: magical research and uber-tech armor. I'm still vulnerable when I switch to the lappack to power my tools, but this should keep me safe from random monster punches. Maybe I'll go on a ghast hunt. Of course, I can still drown ... tough game.
