Overgrown 2026: Warp Book, End Reborn config & Rainbow Slurry
260205 Overgrown 2026
I let the game AFK inside the glass poo tower while I watched Captain Sparklez battle the Queen (for real this time). I made one double-compressed pink poo, and need 81 more for the rainbow slurry, currently at 61. I did another round of breeding, probably 18 of them in there now.
While waiting, I made a list of the inventory pets not yet on the wall in my museum. Then made the banana and flying saddles pets and ran out of diamonds. Found 23 more diamonds in the factory tower, made the enchanting table, iron golem and brewing stand pets. I really should USE these from time to time instead of just hanging them up as cute trinkets, but for now, this is the challenge. Yikes, the illuminati, mickerson and juggernaut need nether stars. Meta pet can't be crafted -- looks like it shifts through all other pets. Cute. Made a few more, checked the pinkly stash: 68 of the pink stuff.
I forgot I had the Warp Book mod; one of my favorite ways to get around in some of my other worlds. They definitely made it a bit harder to craft here. The empty warp book is still just a book and an ender pearl, but the pages?
AAA/ABA/AAA (ender pearl, redstone) = warp cluster
[brewing] warp cluster + awkward potion = unbound warp potion
unbound warp potion + paper = unbound warp page
But I guess, since you can brew 3 at a time, that's not bad. I think it used to be just paper + ender pearl, which really was too cheap.
I really need to find out what the blazes is going on in the End, but I need a way home. I don't remember if the warp book can get me home across dimensions, so I made an extra house pet and marked a home. Then tp'd to the Stronghold, dropped through the portal and immediately caught on fire, fell, and was saved by the pelican again. Came out not too far from Rustic this time. Tp'd back to the portal, dropped through and immediately flew up and over to tap the dragon egg. Those mobs are end guards from End Reborn III. I knocked out about 6 of them but still could not get enough breathing room to put a torch under the egg and break the block.
So ... End Reborn. I was able to get to the config inside the game, and the end guard spawn rarity was set to 3, which sounds way too frequent. The tooltip says "chance to spawn = 1/ this number. I set it to 100. You can turn the mobs off entirely, but no, I do want to see them, just not by the dozens.
That was a fun expedition. I was able to clear the main isle (with a few minutes in creative and the rest done the hard way) -- there are reinforced and other versions of these guys. Ugh. I tp'd to the one End City I found and the spawn rate was about right: you get zapped by fireballs every minute or so, but it's not a wall of crazy. There's not much to see in the End compared to my other modpacks where Draconic Evolution and other mods add stuff to the dimension. There is end diamond, biotite and lapis ore, end magma, ender lilies. That's about it. The Plants mod added aphrireroot and small flower aithotus, neither with any special recipes. House pet was able to get me home to the Overworld, but I think it ate all my ender nuggets to do it. Fair enough.
I raided the end city, which is so much easier when you can already fly. Thanks, cloud pet. Came back with a gold pack full of goodies, including 14 shulker shells, 4 mega loot cases, some Patchwork loot, 87 biotite, 14 end shards, 8 essence ore, an enderman head, some DungeonTactics items, ores, a stack and a half of end magma and an end essence.
Still only 73 pinkly poo. Let it AFK some more...
Nope, can't just sit here. I finished the road out to Colfax then popped some treetop chests and found the mickerson pet. 77 pinkly p. I don't think the drops from the top floor were getting through the floor to the vacuum chest. I broke the center block and put a ladder there ... I don't think the animals will fall through unless they are babies.
Need to get to bed, though.

I was updating my text file for Brixton, and found 3 packed pinkly poo in the chest by the earthworm farm, so I have enough for the rainbow slurry bucket. Tp'd out to the mycelium research spot outsied MineColony. Just like the wiki said, if you put the bucket of rainbow slurry over the middle of a 7x7 diamond-shaped plot of mycelium, it starts turning into albino mycelium within a few minutes. I'm sure other shapes of plantings would work, but this is the shape of the flow of a bucket of water. Harvest those albino mycelium and plant them in their own area with NO slurry or liquid of any kind, and they should slowly turn into pinkly mycelium and then blessed earth.
After about a half hour, some of the albino mycelium has turned a bit purple, but F3 says it's still "albino_mycelium age 9". I suck at AFK. I found myself trimming trees to make hedges to surround the whole area, then pounding out side paths down into the pits and caves in the area. And I made little wooden observation deck in the tall tree right next to my mycelium plots.
AFK 1448: about an hour and a half into it, still no pinkly mycelium but I did get one pinkly mushroom. My platform of 36 albino mycelium is complete, with 8 to spare. I think I was supposed to make a 7x7 diamond-shaped plot because when I first put down the bucket of slurry, it ran off all the edges, so the whole thing should have been one larger.
So I expanded it by one, put down the bucket of stuff, and it flowed right out to the edge, and one block beyond. So, it would even work if on a 9x9 diamond, flowing right up to the very edge.
AFK 1539: 2-1/2 hours: I have two pinkly mycelium -- they actually turn pink with white bubbles. A lot more mushrooms. I tried breaking them with my hammer (Looting VI) but got on pinkly mycelium and one dirt. No rainbow wisps.
