Overgrown 2026: Brixton, VFP & Nether ships

We had some fun yesterday on a long visit with a head full of things to do. I gave Anne the tour of the new Inventory Pets room and all the space I cleared out around the Welcome Center, then did the long walk past the Academy and through the mini mesas swarming with ostriches, vultures and roadrunners, to the two giant pumpkins. That stretch of nearly flat land feels like the best spot to start a new Animania livestock ranch. The area around Rustic is mostly dull and uneven with large gravel patches. This area has the mini mesas and enough trees and variety to be a visually appealing place to spend some time.
Later we flew over the new hobbit house and I showed her those two highland cows, the ones we could never ever find in our other world because they had not yet been added to Animania in 1.10.2. Then we explored those towers in the area. The odd double tower turned out to be one I had seen before, with the broken ladder that dumps you into the web-filled basement with the spider spawner, and the shelves with loot chests and a block of TNT.

Tonight I went ahead and made a set of ten 9x9 pens for cows and 8 or 10 for sheep. I added a recipe to make drying powder a little less of a pain. Existing recipes:
AAA/ABA/AAA (seeds, natron) = 24 drying agent
natron + sunflower = 24 drying agent
and the one I just added which is simply natron + rock salt = 2 drying agent.
I think I made all those, where the original was:
2 seeds + poisonous (or toxic) potato + cactus = 8 unprocessed drying agent, which you then smelt. Ugh.
I wanted to play with some of those bizarre VFP recipes: (DA = drying agent)
3 sunflowers + DA = raw sunflower-K powder (raw SK)
raw SK + bit o heat = roasted sunflower-K mix
roasted SK + raw SK + jar o seed oil + whisk + empty brown jar = sun butter spread (5 uses left)
this is a peanut butter substitute, but it's soooo much more work.
2 potatos + cutter (cutting board etc) + cloth squeeze bag + snow + water + DA = 8 potato starch
milk + DA = 4 powdered milk
There are some recipes with this pattern:
X + water + bit o heat + DA = gelatin
X = 3 small bones = gelatin
rabbit hide (or bone) = 2 gelatin
6 dandelions = 3 dand tea powder
6 grass or ferns = 3 bush tea powder
3 seeds + DA = 4 dried seeds
DA + 2 apples = apple powder
DA + 2 beetroot = beet powder
DA + cactus = 4 cactus powder
DA + carrot = 2 carrot powder
DA + cheese = cheese powder
DA + 2 cocoa beans = cocoa powder
DA + dandelion = yellow food color
DA + various eggs = 1-4 powdered egg
DA + ink sac = black food color
DA + melon = 4 melon powder
DA + anyMushroom = mushroom powder
DA + 3 peppercorns = black pepper
DA + poppy = red food color
DA + pumpkin = 4 puumpkin powder
DA + potato = 2 potato powder
DA + rose = rose powder
DA + 2 sugar = syrup powder
Most Harvestcraft crops have a powder to match
6 syrup powder + milk + bucket = raw condensed milk
[smelt] = condensed milk
condensed milk + 2 empty jars = 2 jars of condensed milk (3 uses left)
condensed milk + 6 cocoa powder = 32 bit o fudge
AAA/BCB/DEF (syrup powder, raw sugar, bit o salt, potato starch, water, bit o heat) = 16 taffy
AAA/AAA/BBC (peacock feather, vines, DA) = what-what powder (WW)
rose powder + bit o heat + water bottle = rose water
rose water surrounded by 8 tulips = tulip tonic
rose water + 2 powdered flower power = tulip tonic
6 cocoa beans or powder + WW + bit o water = caffeine mush
ABC/-D-/EEE (caffeine mush, water, bit o heat, bit measure, empty bottle) = 3 caffeine concentrate
2 raw sugar + caffeine concentrate = 2 fizz additive (Fz)
Fz + carbonated water + X ...
X = cactus powder ... klingon fizz
X = powdered milk ... creamsicle fizz
X = strawberyr powder ... berry blast fizz
X = red food color ... poppy fizz
X = citrus mix ... citrus plunge fizz
X = apple powder ... cydrax fizz
X = carrot powder = orange lava fizz
X = blueberry powder = blue moon fizz

Tonight I was mostly running around, enjoying the scenery and the strange far-off places, and chilling after a hard day at work. I did stop at the MineColony and do a big cleanup, taming any overlapping builds, moving chests around, and generally making sense of the place.
I found an odd case where a few chunks outside Brixton II regenerated more Open Terrain structures. At first it was just a big boulder blocking a dirt road I made last week, but then, right around the corner from that, a skinny tower (the one with the red flag at the top) on top of a rocky outcrop right at the tip of the same skinny tower. I know the bottom one used to be there, but the top one is new, and just looks silly.
Ironically, I had flown over there looking for a pyramid that had been sticking out of the side of a cliff, thinking I could completely break it down and see what it was made out of, and whether there were any secrets left to find. I must have seen 20 of them. But if these things generate in ridiculous places, I want to remove them. Hmm, I like this double tower, and feel like it would be better to join the two inside and carve away the fat for a unique monument. Too big of a project for tonight.
I chose a medium-sized pyramid about 1000 blocks from Brixton, and got about 10 stacks of stone brick varieties, stairs and slabs. But I think I have an off-and-on duplication issue. Sometime, I swear I grab 4 or 5 fossils and later I have 32 of them. So I don't know if my numbers are right. Just now, I popped one sign off the wall and two popped into my hotbar. Anyway, stacks of blocks for future builds, and I left the pyramid in a satisfactory state of ruin for some future rediscovery.
I wrapped up the night with a long Nether run. I don't know what the primordial paleosol is (Pinkly Sheep), and even Google comes up with nothing. I wonder what happened to Pinkly Sheep ... it seems to have vanished completely. It was an awesome mod full of strange things. Anyway, I got 4 bags full of goodies and found a spot with 4 Nether ships and 2 nether pet dungeons.
I like the different shades of netherrack and suppose each can be smelted into different shades of nether bricks. I should do a stack of each to help with my palette when I build things.
I made an Inventory Pets petrifier last night, and finally figured out what it was for. It will eat diamonds, but you can click on objects or mobs and turn them into the matching inventory pet, so I hit a few jukeboxes and furnaces, bam, pet versions of each.
