Overgrown: Earthworms & Exploration

4/12/2021 Overgrown-1-1

The past few nights I was just dithering around with things, mostly green waste, a few trials of sludge renew and pinkly poo to see what might spawn.  I got some dirty dirt, a few earthworms.  Found a half stack of brown shrubs, plant-balled them to a full stack for prunings, for brown EnderIO dye, finally got some industrial dye blend to make the next tier of machines.

Lots of exploring.  Still looking for an actual ocean biome in this crazy river-filled world.  So, (1036) another run/swim across the world looking for useful things ... and an ocean.  I found a neat structure: a giant witch hut on stilts about 4 blocks off the ground, with a few other artifacts in the area: an isolated chest with some tools, and a stack of dark oak wood tied down with rails.  Found a rare mega loot case, got a renewed scimitar (withers & poisons for 1 sec on hit, pokey, rare, 1074 durability, 10 atk dmg).

The big witch hut and the area around it.  Will come back to develop the area.

(1041) New Waypoint: Witch Town 3: largest witch town I have seen, with an archaeological dig right next to it, various odd ruins, and a roguelike dungeon house about 50 blocks away.  A new point of interest.  In one chest I found: disguised obsidian (Super Blocks mod), Ancient Tomes (Quark mod: Lure III, Punch II, Fortune III,Sharpness V).  An extensive area for a future base.  All kinds of holes in the ground around here.

(1105) A new waypoint "Brick Hall", another of those small brick town ruins, this one with a tar pit next door.  Pretty funny trying to build a wall with bouncy tar slimes jumping on my head and blinding me.  This wall will have to be at least two blocks tall.  I wonder if they are affected by brambles.

(1155) Another hour of swimming and searching.  Found a few more structures, nothing too fancy.  Endless rivers.

(1106) Oh, I forgot that I crashed while out exploring, so I spawned at an unfamiliar location.  I quickly found Witch Town 5, then a really odd building, a wooden house with two odd towers and dungeon glass windows.  So, something from the DungeonTactics mod.  Each tower room had a spawner and various traps to step on.  Neat construction.  I tamed it and will use it as a future base for this area.

The zombie trap house.

Back to Brixton, I added to the Kitchen for Blockheads: double fridge, sink, kitchen cabinet, 2 spice racks, 3 tool racks.  I put some fruit baskets our on the bar and tables in the main room of the Saloon.

(1151) I setup a new villager house (Prefab) for Nomadic Tents and Prefab parts.  I made a golden tent mallet and my first yurt and bumped it up to 7x7.  When I dismantle it with the mallet, it duplicates and gives me a second yurt item.  But since they both will end up pointing to the same space in the other dimension, there seems no point having it, so I delete the dupe.  I also made a bedouin tent.  Then with the tent pieces, you can make decorative tent blocks, so I used some of those to refit the little building.  Neat.  (1216) Bump up the bedouin tent to 7x7.

Reorganize some things.  Having the fruit baskets on the tables in the Saloon is such a nice touch.  I can drop off little harvests and spoils there, add color and flavor (haha), and move them to the actual kitchen later on if needed.  Potions and heart jars also look cute in the baskets, like they are ready to drink.  I forgot I had the Placeable Items mod until I accidentally rclicked something with an apple in my hand.  Now, I stop and add a few of those touches here and there as well.

So, hazelnuts are good for nothing.  I found I had 3 gooseberries, made a sapling, replaced the hazelnut bonsai.
