FTBUnleashed 5/8/15 butterflies!
5/9 - FTB UNleashed
Finally caught a butterfly. Trick is, go to the minimap settings (defaults to the equals key), turn Neutral mobs ON. Then butterflies show up as little blue icons with question marks. Poof, caught. I built a 11x11x9 glass house, just big enough for 4 small trees, added an auto-spawner + butterfly = poof! Heap of different butterflies. I know this violates any rules or logic that the mod author may have had in mind, as far as researching the butterflies and experimenting and reading their in-game tip with their in-game tools. But Minecraft is a world of complex and clever mods that interact in unexpected ways. Wouldn't have it any other way.
So, I have about 10 butterflies in my greenhouse now, probably pollinating those trees.

Cliff top" purple biofuel tank 306b, biomass tank EMPTY -- I left it draining into stills downstairs, so ... ethanol 240b. Guess I can move that big iron tank now. Let me run an experiment, put a little biomass into tank, break a block, does it lose the liquid? Yes, even with 3 blocks broken out, when put back together, the tank still knows how much liquid was in it. Veggie juice 70b, fruit juice 90b.
