FTB Highlight reel 1/13 to 1/19 with shrooms

I'll try not to bore you with heaps of numbers again.  Here are some of our escapades from the past week or so.

1/13 - Long raid with Ruttemous down in that chasm under the Dark Forest.  He & Iceman had already gone into the forest, carved out a lot of breathing room and put about 100 torches in the area.  But the chasm was so dark and full of mobs, I went topside and made a Wrath Lamp.  Funny: from above it lit up the whole chasm like daylight.  From below, it was just as dark as if there was no lamp up there at all.  After we cleared it out, mobs would spawn right next to us and get free shots - I guess there are programmed spawns at some points.

1/14 - Quick session, did some repairs in Downer's Grove and Albuquerque, traded stacks of paper for emeralds.

1/15 - Had to get up early for trip to Coachella to meet Bill Clinton.  Long story, but fun day.  No MC today.  Real world.

1/16 - spend a night exploring big caves under Albuquerque.  Got bored in laser lab, made heaps od circuits & gates on Assembly Table.

1/18 - Another night caving under Albuquerque.  Finished road from there to long tunnel to autumn forest.  I lost all my waypoints, so had to revisit some places and mark them again before I forget them.  Evening: setup a mystcraft link hub in twilight village - to many points in Overworld, later added some points in Nether as well.  Very handy.  Though after taking 5 or 6 book trips, lag sets in and I've hit a few Out of Memory errors.

1/19 - Brief maintenance, repairs, and fiddling trip.  Build roads 200m east and west of Twilight Village.  Run all over down there but it's surrounded by an immense mushroom biome.  400-500m in some directions.  Hard to find anything new, though I did find an oil well spouting from the top of a tree.  ;-)

Experiment: do giant mushrooms drop anything?  yes, some little shrooms with axe; nothing with shears (??); silk touch gives mushroom blocks.  64 mushroom blocks (in Industrial Centrifuge) = 6 methane cells (I think those give 45,000 EU each, so that's 270,000 EU minus the energy cost).  And little shrooms can turn into biomass in Fermenter.  Not exciting, but good to know.
