Floating Tower, Prefab guard posts

Short visit, I just want to do some exploring. So I hopped out to a faroff waypoint, found the nearest empty zone on the map, and started mapping. I passed a mesa area with crazy candy-like layers, with a doubled-up academy.
Then, the oddest thing generated at -3398 85 -3195. At first I thought it was just two parallel walls, but when I went to place a sign and a waypoint, I looked up and saw a small floating with a spawner at the very bottom. The roof and top floor have a scatter of TNT blocks. What the heck? I cleared it, nothing there. Maybe I have to dig down sometime. And what was up with the parallel walls?
On my flight home, I found a forested plain full of odd structures: hobbit house, sandstone dungeon, brick dungeon house ... new waypoint "Middle Earth" at -3163 77 -2844. I already had a waypoint at the weird witch tower "BT dark tower" at -2934 64 -2937.
A lovely orange terracotta & grass plateau at -2110 89 -2931.
Back to Brixton to dump my three stuffed backpacks.

On Sunday morning we did a quick run out to the Mesa Bowl Base. We used a stack of fences to make an enclosure down by the base, then flew some trips to the tops of mesas and back to bring down animals. After that we figured maybe the animals could stay up there and we could maybe sort them up there. We ended up with another holding area that took a stack of fences, and had some fun running around fighting mobs that night.
Last night, I went back and made three Prefab watch towers, and put them on the mesa tops, facing down toward the Base. For two of them, I made ladders down through the mesa, to stairs, to dirt paths back to the base itself. On one of those long ladders, I made 2x3 windows with rooms behind them at 140y and 120y. It felt like a perfect place for some future cliff dwellings.
Tonight I made the ladder up to the third watch tower and made a little room with window at 100y on the other ladder up. From there. I just had linking things together: on the backside of that mesa, it was 12 blocks down to build a bridge across to the next mesa.
Then I built a path with terracotta steps and slabs across to the next grassy clearing, matching the colors of the mesa layers as best as I could. What a fun project. I can now walk to the neighboring clearing. From there, getting into the next big put with the dungeon tower inside will be a tricky thing to pull off. It will probably have to be a tunnel.
10:18pm: yup, I made stairs up the lowest part of the west wall of the west clearing, hopped over to the dungeon tower side to get some coordinates of the optimal place to come out (next to the waterfall), dug the tunnel, added grey terracotta shingles for a pathway, and now I can walk from the main clearing to the smaller west clearing, through the mesa to the dungeon tower that's completely surrounded by mesa cliffs.
A fun night of random tasks.
