FTB Ultimate: Advanced Solars & Twilight Places

The weekend is winding down, so I wanted to hop in my fast-loading old FTB Ultimate world for some item grinding. I still have no idea what happened to the quarry. Because only half the platform vanished, it feels like a chunk loading issue. Maybe it was dueling with the chunk loader I put next to it. Don't know.
I remember when I also had this FTB Ultimate world on the Scalacube server and forgot to turn it off one night. A few days later, the bees were overflowing and there were stacks and stacks of ruby combs to process for chrome dust.
My newly organized assembling machines are cranking out parts. I had 16 energy flow circuits, 65 advanced circuits, 8 steel machines hulls, and other things I have already used. I was able to make 5 more highly advanced machine blocks.
I ran out to my coolant cell workshop to make 8 more overclocker chips for IC2 machines. Came back to 6 stacks of reduced chunks in my facotrization chest, distributed them in crystallizers as well as I could. It's a slow process, but I especially need to triple copper right now.
I went to the Advanced Solars building and finished the last eSunA (see 0324 post) to make another Ultimate Hybrid Solar panel, which in the end comes out to these materials:
- Lap# + 3 coal chunks + advanced solar + 2 eSunA = 9 lap + 3*(8 coal dust + flint + obsidian)
+ 2*(24 UU + 140 gd + 32 refU + 32 Ir + 32 AA + 8 D: + 64 iTNT)
where the advanced solar is made of
- 3 irradiant glass panes (IGP) + 2 AA + solar panel + 2 adv circuits + irradiant reinforced plate (IRP)
where each IGP = 3*(6 reinforced glass (2/7 * 7 glass + 2 AA)) + 2 irU + gd)
and that IRP = 4 RS + 2 lap + 1 sunnarium part (2 UU + gd) + D + reinforced IridiumIron plate (RIIP)
and that RIIP = 8 RI + Ir
and the base solar panel is made by:
= 3 glass panes + C# (8 coal dust) + 2 Si# + 3 elecCircuits (6 CuWire + 2 RS + RI) + generator (3 RI + RE Battery (CuWire + 2 RS + 4 Sn) + iron furnace (8 RI))
Well, whatever that adds up to, it's one of the biggest crafting paths in the game...
I went on an hour exploration of past forgotten waypoints and caves. Came home with stacks of ores but only 7 copper ore. Tp'd back to my main base and my wireless was flickering. Somehow my entire IDSU had been drained??
A billion EU got eaten by something? I wondered if maybe the quarry really was in the other dimension eating up power, but no, the half platform is still gone. Maybe it's glitching and draining that channel on the tesseract network? Most likely, it was just a glitch from teleporting into town and a few bits not loading properly. It's an interesting scenario.
Ironic that I just created this extra ultimate hybrid solar panel. I hooked it up and now MFSU2 if back up to 3.6 million. 2314: I put 6 stacks of coal in generators and fired up the diesel generators with 2 stacks of nitro-coalfuel I didn't think I would ever use. 7 million. 2317: Main lab MFSU is back to 10 million, MfSU 2 at 9.5M. 2320: finally, MFSU2 back to 10M and IDSU is refilling ... 510K. What a crazy event. In my years of visiting this city over the years, nothing like that has ever happened. Maybe I overloaded it and it has slowly been draining? The new solar panel that I made just for the hell of it ended up saving the day.
2322: 1.8 million. Headed to bed.

Just checking in on Vee City in the FTB Ultimate world. I added a few more waypoints from old files. The "ab mine contd" turned out to be one of the biggest mazes of abandoned mines I have ever seen. In 45 minutes of exploring, dropping 3 stacks of torches along the way, I only saw 4 copper ore. 73 iron, 22 gold, 42 certus quartz, 52 quartz dust, a few stacks of xy ores, 20 sapphries, 4 rubies, 4 chests.
2109: IDSU is at 14MEU. My stash of copper: 687+24 ingots, 152 plates, 104 wire, 98 tiny dust, 70 nuggets (from bees). Pretty good, but I need about 3000 for the fusion coils.
2122: IDSU at 25MEU. I ran two stacks of copper plate to dense copper plate, ran them through fabricators for 3 thick neutron reflectors. Brought out a stack of ruby, crush it, plus 2 stacks of ruby dust for more chrome. A big clue about the IDSU power drain. I did leave two mass fabricators turned on, and with those on, even in broad daylight with the two ultimate hybrid and other solar panels running, the power does drop. Turn them off, power goes back up. I thought I was well beyond the point where I needed to worry about power generation, but I guess not.
2145: I powered up the generators in the generator building: 3 semifluid gens, 6 lava gens, 3 diesel gens. I ran out to the big tanks and came back with stacks of fuel cans and capsules. IDSU at 38 MEU. It won't stop raining even if I do "/weather clear", haven't seen the sun in days. I even tried a dissipation charge but it crashed the game.
2151: finally stopped raining. I checked my ME network for any other solar panels. I now have 4 advanced, 1 hybrid, and 2 ultimate hybrids running.
2158: rianing again, getting hit by lightning out there, everything except the lightning rod.
2252: IDSU at 72 MEU. I spent a while in the Twilight Forest going to old forgotten waypoints. The most impressive was the huge hollow hill that I quarried out 7 or 8 years ago. There are still huge walls and spikes of resources. Came back with 2 stacks of coal, 4 stacks of lapis, 2 stacks of redstone, 15 diamonds, 15 sapphire, 9 gold ore, 54 iron ore, other stuff, and only 19 copper ore. I did light up a large new area, fought a lot of mobs, almost got punched off a 30-high sheer wall by a wraith, and cleared a few more mob spawners. TF is one of my all-time favorite mods: everything is so well planned, so well coded. I also explored the bottom floor of a maze but after checking all 4 corners of the box, there were no signs of that secret room that I always find later on. I know it existed by the 1.7.10 version, probably also in my 1.5.2 worlds. But not here, not invented yet.
2312: fired up the diesels and lava generators again, ISDU at 82 MEU.
